A passion for protecting the environment
I have always been passionate about maintaining a sustainable environment for my community and enjoy activities that promote environmental responsibility and awareness. In my free time, I regularly recycle and visit Pasir Ris Beach to pick up leftover plastic litter. I practise these habits because I believe small individual actions can make a meaningful difference in maintaining a healthy environment for the community around me.
Contributing to Environmental Services through practical action
The Environmental Services of recycling and taking scraps and reusing it to something useful is what drew me to pursue a career in this industry. I find it interesting that protecting the environment can be a meaningful career path, even though many people tend to aspire to other professions. I also recognise that there is a lack of manpower in this industry, which makes the impact of people working in this sector even more significant. Through this scholarship opportunity, I look forward to gaining hands-on training and industry exposure while contributing to environmental solutions.
