“Environmental Services is not just ‘trash cleaning’ — it also involves careful chemical consideration, recycling processes, and engineering that automates and streamlines the industry

A curiosity for systems and environmental challenges

I am a rather introspective person who enjoys observing patterns, which naturally led me to develop a strong affinity for mathematics and science. Physics interests me particularly because it is essentially mathematics with scientific labels and units. This curiosity about systems and patterns has shaped my interest in environmental challenges and the processes behind solving them.

Contributing to Singapore’s environmental efforts

The Environmental Services Industry is a field people often overlook due to the negative connotations associated with it. Yet many of the issues it addresses are critical to how society functions. By undertaking the NEA-Industry Scholarship, I am both invested in and participating in efforts that contribute to Singapore’s Green Plan 2030, and I hope to play a role in supporting environmental solutions through this industry.
